Hey there, I’m Kylee! I live with my two kiddos in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This blog has been a looong time coming, and I’m so glad to finally be here.

I was once told by a mentor that I’m like an onion - I have a lot of layers. That has always stuck with me because I think it was very perceptive (and accurate!) on his part. That’s one of my favorite things about who I am. My layers run deep and I love to keep people guessing.

Like me, this blog will have a lot of layers. In its most simple form, it is a way for me to be able to document and share the adventures my kids and I are going on throughout their childhood. We love to travel, we prioritize travel, and my goal is to see as many places around the world as possible with them before they leave my nest. I put a lot of time and research into planning our trips, and I can’t wait to share all of that with you.

But more than that, although it has taken me some time to find the courage (and technical skills, which are still notably lacking) to launch this blog, my goal is to peel back a lot of those other layers of our lives and share more of our story. This blog gives me the creative outlet to do just that. In the last decade alone I’ve lived a LOT of life, and I have some things to say about all of it! (Brace yourselves.😎) My gut tells me there are some other moms out there who just might be able to relate.

As you’ll quickly find out, I stay busy! My lifestyle definitely isn’t for everyone. But I keep the pace I do because I love to live my life this way. I love life! I love saying yes! I love seeing new things, trying new things, learning new things, teaching my kids new things. All the new things!! We are always on the go.

When we’re home, we love to be involved in our community. Fort Wayne used to be a sleepy little city, but it is exploding with growth and revitalization right now, and it is so exciting to be a part of it! I currently serve on the boards for several local organizations, including the Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House, Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District, Allen County/Fort Wayne Downtown Development Trust, and Northeast Indiana Regional Opportunities Council. More importantly, I am trying to instill in my kids that same sense of community and hope someday they will have a genuine desire to contribute back to their own communities.
